Acceptable Use Policy
This policy supplements the 26 Connect Terms of Service. Breaching it can lead to immediate account suspension without refund and notification to competent authorities where required by law.

1. Prohibited uses
You may not use 26 Connect to:
- Automated unsolicited calls (robocalls). Any use of an autodialer that contacts random numbers or contacts without prior consent is prohibited.
- Unsolicited bulk SMS. Sending more than 200 SMS per day to recipients who have not explicitly opted in is treated as spam.
- Caller ID spoofing. Transmitting a number that does not belong to you or is not assigned to you by 26 Telecom violates CRTC and FCC rules.
- Phishing, fraud, identity theft.
- Unlawful, hateful, threatening, obscene content, or content that violates others' privacy.
- Intellectual property violations.
- Attempts to bypass technical protections of the service, FusionPBX platform, or Telnyx network.
2. SMS-specific rules
We operate under a Telnyx messaging profile. Telnyx and the Canadian (Bell, Rogers, Telus) and US (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) carriers perform automated spam filtering. Accounts generating a complaint rate above 1% or a delivery rate below 85% will be suspended.
Minimum rules to follow:
- Obtain explicit consent before sending a commercial SMS.
- Clearly identify the sender in the first message.
- Offer an opt-out keyword (STOP) in every campaign.
- Honor opt-out requests within 24 hours.
3. Call-specific rules
- Respect the National Do Not Call List (Canada) and the Do Not Call Registry (US).
- Do not call before 9 AM or after 9 PM recipient local time without prior consent.
- Clearly identify your organization in the first 15 seconds.
- Offer the option to remove the number from your lists.
4. Monitoring and enforcement
We monitor call volumes, completion rates, and recipient complaints. In case of breach, we may:
- Written warning with a 48-hour correction window.
- Rate restriction limiting calls or SMS per hour.
- Account suspension without refund.
- Permanent termination with release of associated numbers.
5. Reporting
To report abuse or unwanted use from a 26 Connect number, use our contact form with subject "Technical support" and include the number, date/time, and a content example.
